What You Need to Know

DIY Installation

Boundary wire should be buried approximately 4–6 inches underground.
When crossing driveways, wire should be buried below the surface as appropriate for the material and conditions, and additional equipment may be needed for proper installation.
In certain areas (such as woods or locations without foot traffic), the wire may be laid on top of the ground if necessary.

SafeLink®

Our patented digital SafeLink FM technology protects against false activation caused by stray radio signals. FM technology is less prone to interference than other brands' AM systems, making DogWatch the most secure hidden fence available.

FastReact®

DogWatch has the fastest reaction time in the industry. If your dog runs at the boundary, the receiver reacts with the warning signal before he reaches the wire, not while he is traveling over it.

Longest Battery Life

All DogWatch Hidden Fence collars have a longer battery life than other brands. The R12 collar has a battery life of up to 2 years, and our R12mini has a 6-month battery. Two weeks ago my puppy got frightened by the garbage truck and ran off. Jason was scheduled to give her her last training. She was gone but he came anyway and spent over 2 hours helping to find her-even during the horrible storm! He intuitively knew where she was and found her and I am eternally grateful. He not only explained the difference in the system options but also the different boundaries options. He explained a better option then what we had in mind without a cost difference. Then on the day of installation it was quick and the installer took the time and had patience to find the right fit of collars for all three of my dogs. The next time we met was with the trainer. Her technique and explanations taught us how to teach our dogs to understand their boundaries without getting shocked or punished. Less then a month later my dogs and I can play outside with out me worrying that they are going to run through the fence. It’s really given my husband and I relief but more so the peace of mind to really enjoy our outdoor time with our dogs.
